Benign MSA small proportion of patients with relapsing-remitting MS will experience mild, infrequent exacerbations who show little disability after 10 to 15 years, referred to as Benign MS. However, this group of patients can only be identified retrospectively, and some people with Benign MS will eventually experience disease progression.
Benign MS is one of the least common forms of the disease, with only 10% of patients diagnosed with this type of MS. Benign MS tends to display non-visible sensory symptoms at onset and does not display any motor symptoms (such as double vision, coordination difficulties or tremor).
