The symptoms of Multiple Sclerosis can vary quite dramatically from one person to another. Specific symptoms appear in relation to where in the central nervous system a plaque or lesion has formed. For example; a lesion of the optical nerves can lead to impaired vision; and a lesion of the spinal cord can result in weakness or loss of sensation in the arms and legs.
The first symptoms usually appear quite suddenly, and then disappear after a few days or weeks.
