Mood changes MS can have an adverse affect on the mood of people living with the condition, and states of mind associated with the illness can include demoralisation, a lack of self-esteem, and most commonly, clinical depression. Depression may actually result from a reaction to a diagnosis of the illness, or as a clinical side-effect of MS. |
